Ofertado na forma semipresencial em cinco polos do estado \u2013 Ara\u00e7ua\u00ed, Frutal, Governador Valadares, Montes Claros e Te\u00f3filo Otoni \u2013, atende \u00e0 demanda de forma\u00e7\u00e3o de professores da rede p\u00fablica no interior de Minas Gerais.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><br>Os profissionais formados em Qu\u00edmica encontram campo de atua\u00e7\u00e3o em ind\u00fastrias farmac\u00eauticas, petroqu\u00edmicas, aliment\u00edcias, metal\u00fargicas, de pl\u00e1sticos e derivados, tintas, cosm\u00e9ticos, t\u00eaxteis, de produtos veterin\u00e1rios e de reciclagem, na \u00e1rea acad\u00eamica, dentre outros.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><br>Em uma \u00e9poca em que a maioria dos cursos do pa\u00eds ainda come\u00e7ava a enviar docentes para o exterior em busca de elementos para estabelecer novo patamar de forma\u00e7\u00e3o acad\u00eamica com a futura cria\u00e7\u00e3o de programas de p\u00f3s gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, a Qu\u00edmica iniciou, em 1969, seu mestrado e, dois anos depois, o doutorado. Juntas, as duas modalidades j\u00e1 ultrapassaram 1.470 defesas.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><br>Com forte atua\u00e7\u00e3o em atividades de extens\u00e3o, o Departamento desenvolve v\u00e1rias a\u00e7\u00f5es. Uma das principais \u00e9 a Olimp\u00edada Mineira de Qu\u00edmica, voltada para estudantes do ensino m\u00e9dio ou profissionais. O Departamento tamb\u00e9m possui diversos laborat\u00f3rios, sendo que alguns mant\u00eam interface com ensino, pesquisa e presta\u00e7\u00e3o de servi\u00e7os, como o de Ensaios de Combust\u00edveis (LEC), estruturado em parceria com a Ag\u00eancia Nacional de Petr\u00f3leo (ANP).<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;
