Nesta \u00faltima, estavam sediados os cursos de licenciatura e bacharelado em F\u00edsica, Matem\u00e1tica e Qu\u00edmica.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><br>Com a Reforma de Ensino de 1968, foi institu\u00eddo o ICEx \u2013 Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Exatas \u2013 que agrupou todos professores dessas tr\u00eas \u00e1reas nos Departamentos de F\u00edsica, Matem\u00e1tica e Qu\u00edmica. Esse Instituto era respons\u00e1vel por todo Ciclo B\u00e1sico da \u00e1rea de Ci\u00eancias Exatas, por v\u00e1rias disciplinas do Ciclo B\u00e1sico de Ci\u00eancias Biol\u00f3gicas e pelos tr\u00eas cursos correlatos que vieram da Faculdade de Filosofia.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><br>Na d\u00e9cada de 1970, foram criados os Departamentos de Ci\u00eancia da Computa\u00e7\u00e3o e Estat\u00edstica, bem como os respectivos cursos de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><br>Atualmente, o ICEx \u00e9 formado por cinco departamentos, com cerca de 300 professores e 150 servidores t\u00e9cnico-administrativos. O Instituto oferece nove cursos de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o e cinco de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, todos extremamente bem avaliados \u2013 os de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o pelo INEP\/MEC e os de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o (mestrado e doutorado) pela CAPES \u2013 s\u00e3o dois cursos com conceito 7 (nota m\u00e1xima), dois com conceito 6 e um com conceito 5. Al\u00e9m disso, mais de 5 mil estudantes de outros cursos da UFMG s\u00e3o matriculados no ICEx todo semestre.<br><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\"><br>Na pesquisa, o Instituto conta aproximadamente com mais de 100 laborat\u00f3rios de pesquisa que geram, a cada ano, mais de 300 artigos cient\u00edficos, 50 teses de doutorado e mais de 100 disserta\u00e7\u00f5es de mestrado.
